The Peter McEvoy Trophy is a prestigious 72 hole scratch stroke-play medal competition, played over two consecutive days by boys aged under 18, held annually at Copt Heath Golf Club.
The 45th Tournament will be held at Copt Heath Golf Club on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th April 2026.
The Legendary British Amateur golfer joined Copt Heath Golf Club aged 13. Following Peter's Amateur Championship victories in 1977 and 1978, the Club made him an Honorary Life Member and hosts the annual Peter McEvoy Trophy to commemorate his achievements.
Since its inception in 1981, the Peter McEvoy Trophy has been the traditional curtain-raiser to the junior golf season and is one of the most prestigious Great British and Irish amateur competition for young golfers.
The Trophy has an enviable list of former winners, several of whom have gone on to play in the Walker Cup and many more have enjoyed successful professional careers.
